Located adjacent to the pristine Papamoa Beach, Palm Springs has been carefully designed to cater to prestigious homes.

This comprehensively designed development features elevated sections, lush landscaping, reserves, waterways, along with shared recreational areas and playgrounds, all designed to capture the coastal feel in a beautifully landscaped and streetscaped setting.
HEB Construction were ideally placed to deliver a project of this calibre with our philosophy and commitment to quality, safety and environment.

We were first appointed to carry out the enabling works for the entrance to the Palm Springs Subdivision, which involved the installation of a substantial culvert crossing through the Wairakei Stream and extension to Palm Springs Boulevard.

We subsequently went on to complete the earthworks and civils packages for Stages 8 to 14 which covers a 33 hectare area made up of 215 residential lots, reserves and waterways in a beautifully landscaped and streetscaped coastal setting.

HEB is currently engaged on Stage 15, which will see the further development of another  59 lots.

To access the subdivision, enabling works first had to be carried out by installing 24meters of twin 2m deep x 3m wide culverts through Wairakei Stream.  HEB Construction then installed 1350m2 of carriageway over the crossing along with associated kerb and channel and footpaths to create the main entrance to the Palm Springs Subdivision.

Stages 8 – 14 Earthworks and Civils packages have comprised:

  • Cut to fill operation of 220,000m3 of sand below existing water table

  • Installation of seven permanent ponds to allow for storm water runoff and in turn creating nature reserves for local wildlife

  • 7m deep sewer pump station

  • Further installation of 35m of 1m x 7.5m wide triple culverts  consisting of 60 box culvert units

  • New water reticulation system with connections to 215 lots
