Engineering Graduates

To apply, you’ll be a final-year student or have graduated within the last 12 months with a 4-year Engineering degree. You must be a NZ citizen or permanent resident with a Full Class 1 licence by the February intake.

Internship Programme
Still have a little way to go until you graduate? Our 12-week Summer Intern Programme gives you real experience in civil construction and infrastructure. Over the summer, you’ll work on live projects, build practical skills, and see how your studies apply in the field.
You’ll be part of a supportive team that values your ideas and helps you grow, while connecting with industry professionals and exploring future opportunities, including our Graduate Programme.

Apprenticeships
If the lecture hall wasn’t where you thrived, we’ve got a hands-on pathway that starts on day one. Our Apprenticeships let you learn by doing, build real skills, and work on projects that shape communities across Aotearoa. You’ll earn while you learn, gain practical experience, and grow into a trade-qualified professional with the support of experienced mentors every step of the way.
Kick start your career with an a Civil or Structural Construction Apprenticeship
At HEB, we believe in building careers from the ground up. For the right people with the right attitude, we offer apprenticeships as part of your development journey. You’ll gain practical experience across areas like earthworks, pipelines, roading, piling, and concrete construction, working toward trade qualifications and growing your capability over time.
Throughout your apprenticeship, you’ll be supported by experienced managers who guide you through diverse projects and help you build confidence for a successful career in civil construction.
